Ready Set Sail Offers Pre-Paid Gratuities, Reduced Deposits and Exceptional Cruise Fares

Travelers looking to plan ahead and book their future Holland America Line cruise vacation can take advantage of the Ready Set Sail promotion featuring pre-paid gratuities, reduced deposits and exceptional rates on nearly all of the cruise line’s worldwide itineraries. Guests who book a Holland America Line cruise by June 14, 2018, will be eligible to receive the offer, and guests who book a suite also will receive up to $300 onboard spending money per stateroom.

All cruises between Sept. 1, 2018, and Aug. 1, 2019, excluding Grand Voyages and Grand Voyage segments, are eligible for the Ready Set Sail promotion. The prepaid gratuities cover the hotel service charge, while 50 percent reduced deposits and attractive fares make it more affordable to start planning for a future cruise. Depending on the cruise length, guests booking suites will receive onboard spending money up to $300 per stateroom.

“Our guests are frequent travelers and many book their next cruise up to a year in advance. Promotions like Ready Set Sail give them the opportunity to reserve now with a low deposit and receive incentives like prepaid gratuities and onboard spending money,” said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “Applying Ready Set Sail to the majority of our global cruises and adding extra perks makes it possible for more cruisers to take that trip they’ve been dreaming about.”

Suite guests can use their onboard spending money to enjoy a variety of shipboard experiences and amenities. Extras that the credit can be applied to include treatments at the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, gift shop purchases, EXC Tours (shore excursions), beverages or dinner at one of the specialty restaurants such as Pinnacle Grill, Sel de Mer, Canaletto or Tamarind, depending on the ship.

We have booked Caribbean cruise for March6-17,2019. With the Explore4 promotion it states beverage package is one of the perks
Which I understood means all drinks up to 15 per day. But on our
Booking it just says a $50 beverage card per person. Is this for Per day
For the 11 days or $50 card for the whole cruise?

I was told we booked our group trip through with the Ready Set Sail promotion, but I’m not seeing anything on our online booking info to indicate this. How do we know if we got this promotion?

Much have been said about gratuity. Though rewarding crew may reasonable. As passengers, we do not know how the gratuities are distributed. Are the lower crews getting their fair share?

Hey guys for gratuities are we able to amend the price we pay for these on board if we have not pre paid them? I have read that they are automatically charged to your room per person per day.

I would prefer to tip on board accordingly to those that assist me if possible hence why I want to do them on board.

As my Pension is paid in South African rands these charges in US dollars are exorbitant and will unfortunately make the cost of my cruise extremely expensive. If I had been previously aware of the dollar charges then I would never have booked a cruise for myself and my wife. I therefore will request these amounts NOT to be raised against my account.

Why cant you make your fares all inclusive?
Please advise how you come up with $14.50 per day per person

Can we use our onboard spending money for paying the gratuities, and is the service charge for the drink package included ?
