Zuiderdam Making Children Smile One Toy at a Time

During the Zuiderdam’s call to Curaçao on November 27th, Captain Christopher Turner, officers and crew, along with Santa and Mrs. Claus, spent the afternoon with 163 orphans, distributing presents and entertaining them with a holiday carnival.

From face painting to bowling, the crew of the Zuiderdam created some very special holiday memories for all to remember. Two young ladies serenaded Santa and Mrs. Claus with Christmas Carols, while everyone else waited with great anticipation to see what Santa would give them this year.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were guests on the Zuiderdam and volunteered their day to the children of Curaçao. The children enjoyed local treats as well as ice cream and sodas served to them by Captain Turner and his staff. A good time was had by all and Santa wished everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Amy – you don’t need to print this comment – I think the photos are of Captain Turner delivering presents, not Darryl.
