Extending the Cruise Experience with Pre- and Post-Cruise Packages

Extending the Cruise Experience with Pre- and Post-Cruise Packages

For guests wishing to extend their cruise vacation, the Hotel Procurement & Tour Inventory Team works tirelessly to create hotel and vacation packages that are designed to be enjoyed before or after the cruise. (Note: These packages differ from shore excursions, which are designed to be enjoyed during the cruise.)

With pre- and post-cruise packages, guests experience a seamless transition between sea and land in the world-class cities in which they embark or disembark. These packages also enable guests to extend their travels inland with the same quality and service they expect with Holland America Line.

The procurement team arranges all the details including luggage handling, transportation, hotel stays and expert tour guides so guests are free to immerse themselves in the area – from the Alaska wilderness to the Great Barrier Reef, Italy’s wine country to samba in Rio.

When selecting hotels, properties are vetted for location and quality to ensure they are on par with the elegance of Holland America. Similarly, the team develops tour packages that best showcase the region our guests are visiting, seeking out “wow” factors such as crossing the Arctic Circle in Alaska or a barbecue on the Argentine pampas.

We have scheduled a cruise leaving Venice, Italy on September 4, 2022.
We have also booked two days in Venice prior to sailing on September 4
and we are considering five or six days in Switzerland prior to arriving in Venice on September 2. Do you have a package for five days in Switzerland and train to Venice. If not, any suggestions?
