Digital Workshop: Windows Live Photo Gallery

Special thanks to Veendam’s Techspert Rob who posted this on HAL’s Digital Workshop blog.

Rob here on the ms Veendam, today we have just finished our first cruise around Cape Horn in South America. This trip has so many highlights, ranging from the Chilean Fjords, Tierra Del Fuego in Argentina, Cape Horn and to top it all off, a final stop in Buenos Aires! During our longer cruises we often urge our guests to make good use out of the digital workshop or more specifically the fantastic features of Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Here are a few pictures you guys have been taking along the way. The photos are courtesy of Rick Fadden of BC, Scott Webb of Oregon, and Elizabeth Havas of Australia. Smooth sailings, everyone! – Rob

Holland America Line is a proud partner of Microsoft on the Digital Workshop powered by Windows program.

Thanks, to Rob, on our trip around South America, about the terrific digital ship work shops he gave. We learned so much! We were wondering about the first picture, of an early A. M. shot of when we were entering the ice/glacier area (sorry, can’t remember name of area). Lorne (husband) was up at 5 A. M. taking pictures that looked just like that first shot. Is there any way of finding this information from Rob as it would mean so much to us. Thank you, Jennifer and Lorne Ebenstiner

Would like to know what type, mm sizes, lenses people used to get those great, long distance, shots.
