Captain’s Log: Final Courses
And now, the end is here
And so I face the final courses
My friends, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain
I’ve lived a life at sea and that’s now full
I traveled each and every high sea
Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the safe track
And more, much more than this, I made it with you All …… my team
Thank you All, it has been always a pleasure to sail with you and please continue the good team work existing here on the Beautiful and Elegant Statendam.
With great memories…..!

Captain Frans you will so be missed. We have sailed with you several time and you know we adore you. But the thing we will miss the most is your Noon time Reports from the Bridge, Enjoy your Well deserved Retirement.

I cannot agree more with the comments by Lisa Laffin. We spent a total of 35 days onboard the Statendam with you over the years and you made life so very interesting and entertaining and SAFE. You will be missed very much. We wish you all the best in your retirement and perhaps we will see you aboard a Dam ship one day as a fellow passenger. Take care and God bless.

Blijf gezond en geniet. Stel niet uit tot morgen wat je vandaag kunt doen.
Het ga je goed.

Had the pleasure I being in the captains last cruise. What a great guy and very entertaining. Who knew nautical information could be so fun?
