Amsterdam Explores Robinson Crusoe Island
This past January, ms Amsterdam visited Robinson Crusoe Island (Isla Róbinson Crusoe), about 200 miles off the coast of Chile, South America. It’s a secluded island in the Pacific Ocean where the real-life story of sailor Alexander Selkirk inspired the classic novel, Robinson Crusoe. These days, this beautiful island welcomes tourist year-round.
Locals love to see our ships because they rarely see such huge cruise ships visiting their island. Crew and guests alike enjoyed the visit as you can see in the pictures. The weather was good and this turned out to be a really nice tender-port visit.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
