A Look Behind the Scenes
Special thanks to Jerrol Golden, HAL’s manager of international public relations, for this post about her recent “Back of the House” guided tour on Oosterdam.
For curious guests, HAL’s “Back of the House” guided tour is a must. You are given access to the tailor’s office, laundry facilities, recycling, galley, food storage, engine room control center and the bridge that includes a photo with the captain. The tour ends with a private meeting with the Hotel Director. It’s really amazing to see how everything works on a cruise ship as well as giving one a healthy respect for all of the crew members who call the ship their home. Two thumbs up!

So many things are taken for granted on a cruise. Many people make the trip enjoyable.
I did this tour while on a Hawaiian cruise in March of 2012 and couldn’t have been more pleased. Worth every penny! Thanks for continuing to offer it to other guests.
