Board a motorcoach for a panoramic drive to Nuuksio National Park in Northern Helsinki — an escape into Finnish nature.
Meet your host and a team of friendly, energetic husky dogs eager to accompany you on a forest walk. You will walk in pairs with a husky attached by a comfortable waist leash, allowing the dogs to guide you along scenic forest trails and beautiful lakeside paths. Feel the excitement and connection as you explore the tranquil Nordic landscape with these amazing animals. Along the way, breathe in the fresh forest air, admire the stunning natural scenery, and learn about the huskies, their personalities, and their lives in Finland.
At the end of the walk, relax beside a traditional open-air firepit, where you can warm up with fresh-brewed coffee. Grill a sausage over the open fire — a classic Finnish outdoor snack —surrounded by nature.
Returning to Helsinki via the famous Mannerheim St, watch for Parliament House, the National Museum, Finlandia Hall, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Notes:
Tour requires walking up to 2½ miles. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, inclines, dirt, gravel, grass, roots, rocks, and steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc) cannot be accommodated on the transportation. Wear sturdy closed-toe walking shoes or hiking shoes. Guests will walk in pairs with a husky attached via a waist leash; the dogs are strong, energetic, and eager to run, making this a strenuous, physically demanding activity. Extra caution is required on uphill and downhill sections, as the dogs may pull unexpectedly. Suitable only for guests who are physically fit and comfortable handling active dogs in outdoor terrain conditions. Tour operates rain or shine, but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extreme weather or unsuitable trail conditions. During warm summer months, local regulations may restrict the use of open-air firepits.
