Discover the breathtaking landscapes of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and immerse yourself in the historic charm of Volcano House, the only hotel within the park.
Your adventure begins with a private guided walk along the Kilauea Summit. Led by an expert from the Friends of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you'll gain fascinating insights into the park's rich volcanic history. As you explore the summit, marvel at the natural beauty and geological wonders that have shaped the island over 28 million years.
Next, unwind at Volcano House — a beloved landmark offering panoramic views of the awe-inspiring Halema'uma'u Crater. This exclusive experience allows you to relax in a private area, surrounded by one of the most iconic vistas in the Pacific. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated selection of hors d'oeuvres as you take in the historic ambience.
Notes:
Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Bring a light jacket or sweater. Sulfur fumes are strong in certain areas within Volcanoes National Park. Not advisable for guests with a respiratory condition. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Kilauea is an active volcano and erupts frequently; participate at your own risk. Guests must be 21 and over with a valid ID to consume alcohol.
Note (2025–2026): Hawaii Volcanoes National Park has recently begun a multi-year construction program to repair, improve or remove damaged buildings and infrastructure at the summit of Kilauea. A temporary Visitor Center is open during the construction project; you may encounter delays along the way. If any areas are inaccessible or closed, additional time at other locations within the park will be substituted. Kilauea is an active volcano and erupts frequently; participate at your own risk
