New Sail Dates Announced for
Noordam March & April 2022 Cruises;
Rotterdam November 2021 Cruises

Guests on Noordam March and April 2022 Cruises Will Move to 2023

Due to evolving travel restrictions, Holland America Line is moving 2022 Noordam sailings from March and April 2022 to March and April 2023. Guests on Noordam roundtrip cruises that depart Yokohama, Japan, in March 2022 and Noordam cruises departing Yokohama, Japan, to Vancouver, Canada, in April 2022 will be moved to comparable crossings on the 2023 WesterdamView replacement voyages.

Bookings on these cruises will be transferred automatically to the comparable voyage sailing in 2023 at the current fare in the same or equivalent stateroom category, with incentives and promotions protected. Guests or their travel advisors will receive their new booking confirmation by October 30, 2021.

New Departure Date for Rotterdam Cruises 

Guests on 2021 Rotterdam sailings roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale on November 3rd and November 7th will be rebooked to a Rotterdam sailing that departs November 5th, 2021. 

Holland America Line is notifying all guests and their travel advisors of their options.

Noordam, Oosterdam and Westerdam Spring 2022 Return-to-Service Dates Announced


The final three ships in the fleet to resume cruising with plans for Japan, the Mediterranean and Alaska, respectively

By late spring 2022, Holland America Line will have a complete fleet back to cruising with the restart of operations for Noordam, Oosterdam and Westerdam. Noordam will restart with a March 14, 2022, cruise in Japan; Oosterdam will begin cruising May 1 in the Mediterranean, and Westerdam will return to service May 8 in Alaska. Noordam Plans Return to Service in Japan

Holland America Line is working with Japanese authorities to begin cruising for Noordam March 2022 in Japan with four sailings scheduled.

When Noordam sets sail in March, the ship plans to offer three 14-day cruises that deeply explore Japan. Sailing roundtrip from Yokohama (Tokyo), Japan, the ship makes several calls around the country and with a one- or two-day visit on each itinerary to South Korea, Taiwan or Russia. The 14-day journeys can be combined to form 28-day Collectors’ Voyages.

In April, Noordam will cross the Pacific Ocean and sail a season in Alaska with cruises between Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and Whittier, Alaska.

Oosterdam Returns to the Mediterranean

Guests eager to visit the Med next year can embark Oosterdam beginning with the May 1, 2022 departure. The ship will cruise between Civitavecchia (Rome) and Venice, Italy; and Barcelona, Spain, and Venice; or roundtrip from Venice on seven- and 12-day itineraries. Oosterdam will explore ports in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, Croatia, Albania, France, Malta and Israel.

Following a transatlantic crossing in November 2022, the ship will traverse the Panama Canal and take a southerly route to a series of South America and Antarctica expeditions ranging from 14 to 22 days between Buenos Aires, Argentina, and San Antonio (Santiago), Chile.

Westerdam Sets Sail for Alaska

When Westerdam returns on May 8, 2022 the ship will embark on a season of seven-day Alaska cruises roundtrip from Seattle, Washington. In September, the ship will begin a season in Asia with a variety of 14-day itineraries from Singapore; Hong Kong, China; and Yokohama (Tokyo).

Guests on January to May 2022 Cruises Will Move to 2023

Cruises in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, South America and Antarctica from January 2022 through the return-to-service departures will be cancelled.

Guests on Westerdam’s cancelled transatlantic crossing departing April 18, 2022, will be moved to a comparable crossing on Nieuw Statendam departing April 17. View replacement voyages.

Guests on Noordam’s affected Asia departures in 2022 will be moved to the same itinerary in 2023 aboard Westerdam; guests on Oosterdam’s cancelled Australia and New Zealand voyages will be moved to the same itinerary in 2023 aboard Noordam; and guests on Westerdam’s cancelled South America and Antarctica Voyages will be moved to the same itinerary aboard Oosterdam in 2023. View replacement voyages. Guests also may choose to receive a 100% refund of monies paid to Holland America Line.

The above options are not applicable to guests booked on a charter sailing. Other booking and cancellation conditions and policies may apply if the cruise was not booked through Holland America Line.

Holland America Line Announces May 2022 Return-to-Service Dates for Volendam and Zaandam

 

Zuiderdam will sail the Grand World Voyage in 2023

Travelers looking to get back to sea on their favorite Holland America Line ship can anticipate a restart date of May 2022 for Volendam and Zaandam. The ships will join Eurodam,  Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam and Zuiderdam, which have returned to service or are slated to restart cruising by November 2021.

With these new start dates, the Grand World Voyage and Grand South America and Antarctica Voyage will not operate in 2022 and will resume in 2023. Read the press release for more details and Grand World Voyage highlights.

Volendam Returns May 1, 2022

When Volendam returns on May 1, the ship will offer longer explorations ranging from 14 to 35 days through exciting Baltic and Northern Europe destinations. The ship also sails along the Iberian Peninsula to the Mediterranean and down to Egypt and Israel. 

Zaandam Returns May 12, 2022 

Zaandam restarts on May 12 in the Canada/New England region, with a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Boston followed by itineraries between Boston and Montreal. In July, the ship will offer the popular 35-day Voyage of the Vikings itinerary roundtrip from Boston to Canada, Greenland, Iceland and other destinations.

Grand Voyages Resume in 2023

When the Grand World Voyage departs Jan. 3, 2023, Zuiderdam will debut on the 128-day around-the-world sojourn. 

Volendam will return for the 74-day Grand South America and Antarctica Voyage in 2023 that departs Jan. 3, 2023.

Guests who were booked on the 2022 Grand South America and Antarctica Voyage will be automatically moved to the 2023 departure aboard Volendam. View replacement voyages

Guests who were booked on the 2022 Grand World Voyage aboard Zaandam will be automatically moved to the 2023 Grand World Voyage aboard Zuiderdam

Koningsdam Takes On Popular Hawaii, Tahiti and Marquesas Cruise in 2023

Koningsdam will take on  Zuiderdam’s longer itineraries in 2023. Koningsdam’s 25-day Mexican Riviera and Circle Hawaii Collectors’ Voyage will move from a Jan. 31, 2023 departure to Jan. 7, 2023, for 24 days. In February, the larger Pinnacle Class ship offers the exotic 35-day Hawaii, Tahiti and Marquesas itinerary roundtrip from San Diego. All guests booked for that departure aboard Zuiderdam will be moved to KoningsdamView replacement voyage.

Zuiderdam’s Panama Canal cruises in January and April 2023, as well as a 10-day Mexico and Sea of Cortez voyage, will be assumed by Zaandam. View replacement voyages.

Future Cruise Credit (FCC) Terms & Conditions

The value of the FCC may be applied to the cruise fare only of a new cruise or Alaska Cruisetour reservation with Holland America Line, and it is combinable with any other applicable discount. While the FCC is valid until December 31, 2022, it must be booked within 12 months of the issue date. This offer cannot be transferred or used as a deposit. FCCs may not be used for onboard expenses, pre- and post-cruise packages, shore excursions, taxes, fees and port expenses, Cancellation Protection Plans, FlightEase air, Hotel Service Charges, or other optional programs or services. OBCs cannot be used to pre-purchase services or amenities and may be used toward all onboard purchases but cannot be redeemed for cash or used in the Casino. Guests or their travel advisors should verify this offer with our Reservation Agent at the time the new reservation is booked. For guests’ convenience, the credits are built in direct association with Mariner Numbers so they will automatically be credited toward the cruise fare of the next Holland America Line sailing booked by the guest.
