Enjoy a panoramic tour through the areas of Fuencaliente and San Antonio Volcano. The name of the Fuencaliente municipality comes from a medicinal thermal water source and its chronicles say that the waters cured diseases of the skin.
Before the 17th century, Fuencaliente town was a well-known spa due to the hot water springs that gave the town its original name, Fuente Santa, or Holy Fountain. When the San Antonio Volcano became active over a period of two months in 1677, the continual lava flow buried the Holy Fountains forever. Nowadays, one can observe the San Antonio Crater, just a short distance from the town.
Step inside the San Antonio Volcano Visitor Center, where you will learn about the origin of the volcanoes of the Canary Islands through an entertaining and educational audiovisual presentation.
Crossing La Palma's unique countryside, your coach will pass the typical Canarian towns of El Paso and Brena Alta. The latter features an artificial beach.
Head back to the port and the ship.
