From Santa Cruz de la Palma you will head to the south of the island. Along the way, you will see vineyards, volcanic lava and the pine groves.
Arriving at Fuencaliente, step inside the San Antonio Volcano Visitor Center. Then, follow the path that skirts the rim of the crater to take in wonderful views over the coast, the Teneguia Volcano, the Salt Mines and a lighthouse.
Your next stop is at a bodega (wine cellar), where a fun and informative local wine tasting will be offered.
The same road will then lead you back to Santa Cruz with a stop at Mazo to visit the Aboriginal Ceramic & Handicraft Workshop of El Molino. This is a great place to pick up some mementos before you head back to the harbor.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes and loose clothing. Bring a jacket and bottled water. Guests will sample two glasses of wine (one white and one red wine). Minimum age to drink wine is 18 years. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Tour does not operate on holidays.
