Board a 4x4 vehicle for an adventure on this beautiful volcanic island.
You'll visit the Serra do Cume Viewpoint which overlooks a patchwork quilt of green pasture and the city of Praia da Vitória in the distance.
Travel through the city center of Angra do Heroismo -- Praia da Vitoria's capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your destination is the protected landscape of Monte Brasil. A photo stop here offers another chance of capturing the stunning views over the Atlantic and the city.
A traditional small cheese factory is the perfect place to learn all about what makes the local cheese so special. Enjoy a small sample and decide for yourself how it compares with those at home.
In the charming village of Biscoitos, on the north coast, volcanic activity has created a signature landscape. Rolling hills are covered with lush green pasture, olive groves, and the curious curraletas -- small vineyards protected by black basalt walls. This is where the famous Verdelho wine is produced. Admire the scenery and see the natural pools created by the volcanic rock.
Continue along the north coast, passing several villages and taking in the breathtaking landscape en route back to the pier.
