Explore Tasermiutfjord by boat -- a spectacular waterway well known for its beauty. Sky-high mountains preen before an enchanting reflection of themselves in the still waters below -- a snow-capped double crown claiming sovereignty over the wonder that is the Arctic.
On this jaw-dropping cruise through the natural geography of Tasermiut, you will craft postcard-worthy photos and form memories to last a lifetime.
Travel to the inner icecap, passing an old Norse settlement. Your skipper will pause here to explain the history of this settlement and what happened to it. At the icecap, step ashore and spend approximately 30 minutes exploring independently and taking the photos of a lifetime.
Notes:
It can be challenging to (dis)embark the boat at the icecap. Wear sturdy, non-skid walking shoes. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion; outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf. The level of guide experience varies due to the remoteness of the location. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here, and you are trading breadth of experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up. There are no restrooms available on tour.
