We are surrounded by mountains of ice floating in the floating in the Arctic Ocean. A RIB (rigid inflatable) boat provides the perfect platform from which to experience nature's ever-changing sculptures in the form of icebergs, spectacular scenery and fabulous wildlife encounters, taking you as close as possible to these scattered glaciers.
The many icebergs in the area are homes to a large variety of animals such as humpback whales, minke whales and a big variety of birds. Keep your eyes open as there is a possibility of encountering one of these amazing creatures during this exhilarating trip.
Note:
Ride will be bumpy. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Minimum age is 8 years. The RIB ride lasts approximately 45 minutes. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Both open and closed boats are used for this tour. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here, and you are trading breadth of guide experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up. Restrooms are not available on tour.
