Immerse yourself in this tasting tour that offers an enriched appreciation for the food and culture of Greenland's Inuit people.
From the pier, you’ll follow your guide on foot across the town. The life and times of South Greenland’s largest village are yours to discover, handily showcased through a tasting menu at a local restaurant. Sample Inuit specialties such as reindeer, musk ox and dried fish -- all typical of this remote region and not often dished up in your corner café at home.
A glass of beer, lovingly crafted at the microbrewery in nearby Narsaq, accompanies the tasting.
Notes:
Wear sturdy, non-skid walking shoes. The level of guide experience varies in Qaqortoq due to the remoteness of its location. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here, and you are trading breadth of experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up.
All of the sights you'll see on tour are accessible on foot from the tender pier, but your guide offers perspectives that you may not be aware of if you explore on your own.
