This accessible Shore Excursion gives you an opportunity to explore several points of Madeira Island, the viewpoint of Pico do dos Barcelos, with a 360 ° view over Funchal, highlighting the viewpoint of Eira do Serrado, and the famous viewpoint of Cabo Girao.
Start your day by meeting your accessible van at the dock of Funchal. From here, you will head out on a panoramic drive to the Pico dos Barcelos. Pico dos Barcelos is a natural viewpoint offering stunning views of Funchal and the surrounding valley.
Escorted by your tour guide, you will enjoy a scenic drive to explore the very heart of Madeira. Elevated at an altitude of 1095 meters, the Miradouro da Eira do Serrado offers an unobstructed panorama over the parish of the Valley of Nuns, surrounded by the grandeur of the green mountains of Madeira.
Next, you will head to Camara De Lobos, a former fishing village and home of the traditional Madeira drink Poncha. (tasting possible)
The final stop of this tour will be at the Cabo Girao Skywalk viewpoint. Probably the most famous viewpoint of Madeira. 580 meters high, Cabo Girão viewpoint, with its famous suspended glass platform - skywalk - is currently one of the most visited (and certainly most photographed) tourist attractions of the archipelago.
The Cabo Girão viewpoint offers a unique perspective over the cities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal: an urban scenery framed by a natural amphitheater facing south.
Notes:
This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair. The tour operator suggests you bring a companion to assist, as guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs. The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Lunch is not included. If appropriate (i.e., on long-duration tours), you will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour.
This tour option is specifically for guests who require a reservation for a designated accessible space, such as a wheelchair anchor. If you are a companion or have chosen to book this tour but do not require a wheelchair anchor or similar accommodation, please select the version of this tour with 'Companion' in the title. This helps us ensure that all guests who need accessibility accommodations have access to the necessary resources and allows us to coordinate effectively with our vendors.
