An interesting wine lecture reveals the history of Portuguese table wines and how they can be paired with various dishes. Now, it's your turn -- acquaint yourself with Madeira wine through a wine-tasting session accompanied by some traditional snacks. Turn around to take in some spectacular views of Funchal.
A short stroll along the oceanfront brings you back to the pier.
