This panoramic drive explores Punta del Este with an hour-long sightseeing drive through this upscale resort town.
Your drive takes you past some of Punta del Este's gorgeous beaches. You will stop at Punta Ballena for sweeping views up and down the coast and end your drive at Casapueblo (inside visit is not included) -- the home and atelier of an internationally renowned artist, Carlos Paez Vilaro. This dazzling white complex, in the style of Spanish Moroccan architecture, is located on a rocky bluff overlooking the ocean. Vilaro built it in 1958 with his own hands, using only traditional tools.
You will visit the Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art, with its fine collection of paintings and sculptures by noted Latin American artists, including several Salvador Dalí pieces on permanent display.
Your drive continues through the Uruguayan countryside to Narbona Farm.
A delicious Uruguayan lunch is served at Narbona Restaurant. Narbona offers fine dining, describing itself as a gastronomic experience that transcends, in a setting perfumed by sea air and open fields, providing natural and tasty freshness in Mediterranean countryside style. You will taste the best "asado" accompanied by delicious salads. As you enjoy your lunch your guide will explain the production of dulce de leche. Guests will learn all about the milk sweet one of the most famous Uruguayan desserts. Do not miss the opportunity to taste the real "Dulce de Leche"
After lunch, drive back to port visiting La Barra de Maldonado, the latter is known for its unique hanging undulating bridges, Beverly Hills, Parque Golf, and the residential areas of San Rafael.
