This special tour allows nature lovers to observe the amazing sea lion habitat at Isla de Lobos -- a national reserve less than six miles off the coast of Punta del Este.
Board a small local boat or catamaran that will take you to the island’s edge. This tiny island is home to the world's largest non-migratory sea lion colony. As the island is a designated natural preserve, landing is not permitted. The vessel will circumnavigate the island to provide unrestricted views of the animals.
After about 45 minutes, you will return to the pier.
Notes:
Wear non-skid shoes to facilitate getting on and off the excursion boat. Tour operates weather dependent. Walking distance to the boat is approximately 500 yards. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
