Join us for a guided hiking adventure along the Oro Verde Trail, a 3.3-kilometer path tucked away in the untouched wilderness just beyond Lake Los Palos. Your day begins with a scenic drive to the trailhead, where you'll take in sweeping views of the lake, surrounding forests, and snow-capped mountains.
Once on the trail, you'll set out on a guided hike through lush evergreen forest, home to a variety of native plant species and local wildlife. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the unique ecosystem and the community’s efforts to preserve it through sustainable tourism.
After the hike, unwind at a cozy, traditional quincho (Patagonian barbecue hut), where you'll sample regional flavors and sip on a Calafate Sour—Chile’s iconic cocktail. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a memorable day immersed in the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Patagonia.
Notes:
Please note that this tour involves a challenging hike with steep sections, uneven ground, exposed roots, and natural obstacles such as slippery rocks, especially after rainfall. It is recommended only for physically fit and agile participants with prior hiking experience. Guests with mobility concerns, recent injuries, or limited endurance should refrain from participating. While your guide will make every effort to communicate in English, the remote location and limited tourism infrastructure are part of the destination’s charm—so we appreciate your understanding regarding any language barriers that may arise. To ensure a comfortable and safe experience, participants should wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots and dress in layers appropriate for changing weather conditions, including a waterproof jacket. Be sure to bring a refillable water bottle, along with sunscreen and insect repellent.
