Transfer to the pier and board a boat for the ride to the scenic Ballestas Islands. Although much smaller in scale, these islands represent Peru's own version of the Galápagos Islands. The Paracas Peninsula and nearby Ballestas Islands comprise the Peruvian coast's most important wildlife sanctuary.
You'll marvel at the famous Candelabro -- a giant figure in the style of the Nazca drawings etched into the coastal hills.
While cruising around the Ballestas Islands, watch many kinds of marine birds, including the Guanay cormorant, Peruvian booby and Peruvian pelican. Humboldt penguins and colonies of sea lions can also be found here.
Notes:
All guests must to sign a disclaimer form before embarking on the boat. Guests who choose not to sign the disclaimer will not be able to participate. There are no restrooms on board the open vessel. Depending upon sea conditions, you may board the sightseeing vessel from the ship's pontoon. Guests prone to motion sickness should take appropriate medication. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Tour duration may be extended by one hour due to weather conditions.
