An incredible journey into the past, today’s tour starts with a visit to the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre. It was founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926 and is located inside a colonial mansion built on top of a pre-Columbian pyramid of the 7th century. In it you will find the most complete collection of pre-Hispanic pieces of gold and silver as well as erotic art. There are more than 45,000 archaeological objects that have been silent witnesses of three thousand years of Peruvian history.
Drive to the city of Pachacamac, whose name means "the One who ordains the Universe." The city was built around AD 700. You will explore the temple remains once dedicated to the ancient gods of the sun and the moon and see evidence of a sophisticated irrigation and reservoir system. The ruins provide clues about the original inhabitants.
Proceed to a beautiful hacienda where the doors are open for you to enjoy its facilities. After attending a traditional and colorful Peruvian exhibition of prancing horses known as the Paso horses, enjoy a typical lunch at the Hacienda. Tastefully built and decorated in Republican style, this is the private home of a distinguished Lima family. Over the years, the owners have become famous as expert breeders of the Paso horses, a unique breed from Peru.
