The legendary coco de mer palm — which produces the world’s largest nuts — grows only in the Seychelles. You can see these enormous fruits (as well as giant tortoises!) in the national botanical gardens near Victoria when Holland America Line calls in the Seychelles’ tiny capital, located on the lush, hilly island of Mahé. Cruise its coast in a catamaran, visit a spice plantation, handfeed fish on Moyenne Island, and take a refreshing dip off Beau Vallon Beach, one of the Seychelles’ prettiest.
