Enjoy a day of discovery on this exciting combination tour featuring an exhilarating boat ride in search of Pacific Ocean marine mammals, followed by an informative and relaxing beer tasting and lunch at an award-winning brewery.
Your day begins with an approximately one-hour drive south to Parque Nacional Marino Ballena also known as ‘Whale Marine National Park.’ After a brief orientation at the visitor center, you will walk across the beach to board the whale watching boat via wet landing to begin your exhilarating journey. You will begin the search for humpback whales, one of the planet’s largest animals that migrate through the area seasonally. In addition to whales, keep an eye out together for Pacific spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, and seabirds such as pelicans, frigate birds, and brown boobies.
During your wildlife search, pass by the incredible natural formation of a whale’s tail and Ventanas beach to see marine caves that were carved by the ocean. If tide conditions allow, there will be a stop at Ventanas or Arco beach to enjoy fresh fruit.
After your boat adventure, it is a short 15-minute bus ride to the artistic and enchanting beach town of Dominical. Here, you will visit at the award-winning Fuego Brew Company. Enjoy locally made craft beer and delicious lunch overlooking beautiful gardens. You may wish to take a short walk to the Dominical beachfront market nearby, where residents sell colorful handicrafts.
It is a 45-minute drive back to the pier.
