A comfortable air-conditioned coach ride introduces you to a variety of landscapes, including mango and watermelon plantations, lush forests, and mountain views. Your destination is the highlands of Alajuela Province.
Rancho San Miguel is a school of high equestrian arts, exhibiting horse fiestas for more than 30 years. It is famous throughout the Americas for its pure-bred Andalusian horses. A local expert will greet you at the ranch. (S)he will share a vast knowledge in this field and will share with you the equine world of mares and stallions. Watch a horse show exhibiting dressage training of the magnificent Andalusian steeds. The horses' work is matched by the master ability of the riders -- talented, Amazonian young women whose work ethic, training and discipline are second to none. The choreography includes the mares, their offspring, the hacienda carriage, a stallion, the long pole, and the equestrian fantasy synchronized sequencing. Every act is explained by your expert guide and accompanied by the sounds of Spanish flamenco music.
Your last stop is at the El Jardin souvenir market in Orotina, where you will have plenty of time to browse in the shop, sample delicious fruits, or taste a genuine Costa Rican cup of coffee.
