Nearby, you’ll find the Government House and the bustling 18 de Julio Avenue, lined with charming shops, cozy cafés, and office buildings.
Marvel at the grandeur of the Congress Building, the true pride of Uruguay, showcasing 52 colors of local marble. An inside visit isn’t included, but the exterior alone is a noteworthy sight.
Next, explore the Mercado Agricola, a beautifully renovated market hall that now serves as a lively farmers’ market. Here, you can dive into Uruguay’s culinary traditions and mingle with the friendly locals.
