Join this tour offering access to the Jaguar Rescue Center Foundation in the town of Puerto Viejo. This is the number one attraction in the south of Costa Rica. It is where the famed promotional Save the Americans video was filmed for Costa Rica's Tourism Board. Never before have cruise guests had an all-access pass to the most amazing fauna conservation effort in the country. This is your chance to interact with all the local wildlife imaginable -- toucans, hawks, monkeys, sloths, tamanduas, anteaters, deer, and parrots. These are just a few of the animals in this magical location. The foundation works endlessly to rehabilitate all of these animals and return them to good health so they can later be released back into the wild.
You will also visit the Puerto Vargas Ranger Station and walk deep into the Costa Rican jungle in a small group with an expert naturalist guide. Explore in-depth the flora and fauna of Cahuita National Park in the most densely biodiverse environment per square mile in the world, on one of the most beautiful nature walks in the country.
Enjoy a typical Costa Rican snack en route.
