Serenity embodied looks like this: butterflies flitting effortlessly about you, and a gentle kayak paddle on the Río Banano.
Your experience begins with a visit to a small butterfly garden, where you can admire colorful native species in a tropical setting. This quiet moment offers a gentle introduction to the region's biodiversity before your outdoor adventure begins.
Next up, explore one of Costa Rica's protected river ecosystems with a relaxing kayaking adventure on the biodiverse Río Banano Estuary — part of a conservation zone since 1990. This wide tropical river, where freshwater meets saltwater, supports a rich variety of species and plays a key role in preserving local ecosystems.
Paddle at a steady pace along the scenic riverbanks lined with wetland vegetation and tropical greenery. Listen for birds calling to you from the treetops; watch for monkeys moving at warp speed through the branches and sloths choosing the slow lane.
Visit a local fruit stand to enjoy fresh seasonal fruits and refreshments. You'll also have time to browse for souvenirs, including handmade items and locally made products, before returning to the ship.
