Set out with a small group (maximum 20 privileged guests) for a more personalized experience. You'll visit Cahuita National Park, the Puerto Vargas Ranger Station, and the exclusive Ara Manzanillo. The latter is a sanctuary for the great green macaw.
Go deep into the Costa Rican jungle within Cahuita National Park with an expert naturalist guide. Explore in-depth the flora and fauna of the world's most dense and biodiverse country. This is one of the most beautiful nature walks in the country.
You will also visit the Ara Manzanillo Refuge, dedicated to saving the green macaw -- a spectacular bird now making a comeback after near extinction on the Caribbean Coast.
Notes: Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Terrain is forest trails that are unpaved and uneven. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. The Ara Manzanillo Refuge is closed during Rotterdam's March 24, 2025 call; a visit to the Wildlife Rescue Center will be substituted.
