Discover the best-kept secret of Huatulco. The recently discovered Copalita Archeological Zone is believed to be a mixture between a Mayan and an Olmec city, more than 2,300 years old. This pre-Hispanic settlement was one of the largest on the Oaxacan coast. Exciting new information is still being uncovered.
This is your chance to share in the findings and learn a little bit of the ancient history that runs deep throughout the region.
For those in good physical condition, a walk to the top of the hill will take you to the viewpoint. From here, take in the spectacular 180-degree view of the Copalita River Delta.
After visiting the site, travel to a local restaurant to explore and taste Mezcal and local chocolate.
There may be time for a quick rest before returning to the ship.
