With toes in the sand, relax in the sun on secluded Los Almendros Beach — an idyllic spot fringed with lush almond trees that provide refreshing shade and are home to a variety of vibrant bird species. The gentle waves, shallow waters, and natural coral reef provide ideal swimming conditions on this tranquil, uncrowded beach.
A 30-minute transfer by comfortable, air-conditioned coach includes a guide who will share helpful information about Los Almendros Beach. Street/beach vendors and motorsports are prohibited, making this a perfect excursion for those looking to fully disconnect and experience two-plus hours of uninterrupted beach serenity. Designated a natural protected area, the beach is free of plastics and sound equipment.
Head to the tree-shaded section of the beach where tables and chairs are set out and a tropical fruit buffet, purified water, and fresh juices await.
Restrooms, eco-friendly showers (freshwater only; soap not allowed), and temporary changing rooms are available. Beach mats are provided.
A variety of locally crafted souvenirs, snacks, sodas, and beers are available for purchase from a designated area to ensure that your beach time is peaceful and uninterrupted.
Participating in this excursion contributes to this natural protected area by supporting the maintenance
of the beach and the local ecosystem.
Notes:
Very little walking is required. Participants must be able to (dis)embark the coach via a few steps and walk briefly over uneven ground. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Bring local currency or US dollars for purchases. Chaise lounges are available to rent ($5; subject to availability). Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. A lifeguard dedicated to the group is on duty; even so, you swim at your own risk. Bring aqua shoes. Bring insect repellent. Bring a backpack to stow your belongings. Lockers are not available; leave valuables on board the ship.
