Get acquainted with Catalina Island's scenic coastline from the deck of a late-model 38-foot sailboat.
Your skipper sails into Descanso Bay and Hamilton Cove. From here, you'll see the iconic Casino Theater and take advantage of perfect photo opportunities.
The complex geology of Catalina is evident in Gallagher Cove. Sail past Frog Rock in search of sea lions and dolphins.
View nesting great blue herons, sea caves and kelp-covered underwater reefs in Toyon Bay and Willow Cove.
Watch for the yacht club and Catalina's largest natural sand beach at Moonstone Cove and White's Landing. View the geological phenomenon of Long Point, where Keyhole Cave recreates the footprint of Catalina Island. Sea lions and pelicans hunt among the reefs here.
Bald eagles soar above the steep canyons and incised coves of Catalina's Protected Marine Area.
It's usually a downwind sail back to Avalon Harbor. Take photos from behind the helm or relax on the foredeck. Keep an eye out for a pod of dolphins or migrating whales.
An on-board snack includes a charcuterie board, fruit and cookies with wine, beer, seltzer, juice boxes, sodas and water.
