Head South to Tofta Lodge & Beach Resort. The facility dates back to the 1930s when Swedes started visiting seaside resorts for recreation. Visiting families lived, dined and relaxed together with only a few meters to the sandy beach. Today, Tofta Strandpensionat retains the charming atmosphere of the 1960s, under the warm hospitality of the Jacobsson family.
During your visit you will have the opportunity to taste a selection of specialties from Gotland's cuisine, A very tasty stop!
Ansarve sheep farm has about 150 ewes. Here, Jenny Granlund and her family and friends make clothes and interior decor items using wool, sheepskin and yarn from their own sheep.
Take a guided walk (about .75 mile) through Visby -- a medieval stone city surrounded by an intact wall built in the 13th century. During your walk, you’ pass among medieval warehouses and church ruins, as well as visit the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Participants will encounter cobblestone streets in Visby and some uneven terrain elsewhere. The Visby portion is not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations; guests using a wheelchair must be able to (dis)embark the coach unassisted and will not be able to tour Visby's Old Town. There is a staircase with 74 downhill steps. Tour sequence may vary. The visit to the Cathedral is subject to no visits taking place.
