The fascinating open-air Trøndelag Folk Museum is one of the largest cultural history museums in Norway. It has more than 60 vintage buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. These showcase local building traditions, including Sami huts, country houses and a 12th-century stave church. In the 'Old Town', you can visit buildings moved from Trondheim's city center, including an old-fashioned grocery store selling traditional sweets, an old dentist's office and ateliers for local handicrafts.
Rejoining your coach to take photos from a hillside viewpoint and lovely views over the city.
Enjoy an exterior view of the 12th-century Gothic-style Nidaros Cathedral -- one of Europe's most important pilgrimage churches.
Notes:
Approximately one hour of walking is required, as well as periods of standing. There are some steps, inclines and uneven terrain at the Trøndelag Folk Museum.
