The tour covers the major highlights of Tallinn's Old Town but also the history of the Holocaust on Estonian soil.
Drive through the countryside to the Klooga Concentration Camp memorial. You will see the mass grave of the deceased prisoners and the memorial in tribute to the victims.
On your return drive pause for lunch at a local café. After enjoying a light lunch, board the coach and head back to Tallinn.
Upon reaching Tallinn, you will have the opportunity to walk in the Old Town along the narrow cobblestoned streets. In the town that has been chosen as the site of UNESCO heritage, you will be able to view the Gothic Town Hall and the houses dating back to when trading in the Hanseatic League brought prosperity to its merchants.
Continue with a visit to the Synagogue (Beit Bella Synagogue) where you’ll learn about the modern life of the Jewish community in Estonia. Consecrated in 1885, the historical synagogue building in Tallinn was destroyed during WWII. Construction of the new building began in 2005, and the synagogue was opened in 2007. The present synagogue is one of the most unusual sacral buildings in Tallinn; its acclaimed modern design is combined with traditional architectural features of a synagogue.
