This tour introduces you to Stavanger's maritime history. Walk from the pier to the Stavanger Maritime Museum, showcasing the importance of the sea to the city from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Continue on foot through the city center and visit the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, depicting how offshore oil operations have become Norway's most important industry. The museum presents historical developments from the first rigs drilling in the North Sea to flexible modern production ships and the subsea systems of today. You will also learn what cultural effects the oil industry has had on the people in Norway, especially here in Stavanger.
Welcome to Øvre Holmegate -- Color Street. This has become one of the best-known landmarks of the city, with its brightly-painted wooden buildings, outdoor cafés, and relaxed atmosphere.
Time permitting, guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.

Tour does not operate on Mondays.
