Once upon a time, only the monarchs walked through London's Royal Parks. Today, you'll be privy to that perspective with a stroll through some of the city's most iconic parks, resplendent with age-old trees and glorious flowerbeds.
Transfer by motorcoach to central London and the district of Westminster. Your walking tour begins from outside Westminster Abbey. You will amble past Big Ben, Downing Street, Horse Guards Parade, and the Household Cavalry Regiment of the King.
Follow your guide across St James's Park to Buckingham Palace. Admire from the outside the official home of His Majesty the King and the British Royal Family. Is the King at home? You will know he is if the Royal Standard is flying above the rooftop.
Head up the famous Pall Mall towards St James's Palace and through Admiralty Arch to the statue of Horatio Nelson at Trafalgar Square. Cross Leicester Square and the buzzing, iconic Piccadilly Circus.
Next, enjoy some free time in the vicinity of Regent and Oxford Streets for shopping. Lunch is not included; you may wish to purchase a bite to eat in Chinatown or enjoy traditional fish and chips in one of the many pubs (at your own expense). Covent Garden's famous market, Carnaby Street, Fortum & Mason, Burlington Arcade and other highlights are within easy reach.
Reboard the motorcoach at Haymarket and relax as you head back to the ship in Southampton.
