Meet the world-record-holding cliff jumper and Norwegian adventurer Ken Stornes — "The Last Viking" — and his crew for a family-friendly Viking Bootcamp just ~250 m from the pier.
From the moment you step ashore you're greeted by the Vikings themselves and led on a short walk to their living Viking Village. Along the way your hosts share stories and tales of how the Vikings have survived at the head of the fjord through the ages — from boat-building traditions to everyday life in this remote inner-fjord settlement.
At the village you're put through a hands-on bootcamp and trained to become a true fjord warrior: Viking ship rowing (demo/participation), axe-throwing (supervised), archery (supervised), and a saga circle.
On completion, Ken certifies each participant as a Viking — and the perfect selfie with The Last Viking.
Notes:
Only suitable for physically fit passengers. Pregnant women and child not permitted to participate.
Minimum age to participate is 16 years.
