After a 10-minute walk to the Skjolden Hotel, gear up with a kayak and paddle and head out with your guides.
Once you’re on the water, the dramatic scenery of Lustrafjord envelops you. You’ll paddle beneath towering mountains, glide past cascading waterfalls, and encounter fascinating wildlife such as seals, porpoises, and seabirds. As you journey through the fjord, take in the breathtaking views of Molden, one of the region’s most iconic peaks, set against the lush landscapes and calm waters.
History buffs can learn about Skjolden’s Viking roots and the significance of Sognefjord.
Notes:
Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, and a sunhat. No prior experience is needed; however, participants must be comfortable in the water and must know how to swim. Tour ends in town; participants must make their own way back to the ship (approximately 1,100 yards). Maximum height is 6’3”. Minimum weight is 99 lbs; maximum weight is 264 lbs. Minimum age is 8 years.
