This combination canal cruise and transfer may suit you if you would like to mostly explore on your own. It consists firstly of a motorcoach ride from the ship in Rotterdam to central Amsterdam. The coach escort will provide you with city maps and information and will advise you of the pick-up time for the return journey.
You will be dropped off close to the canal cruise departure area, and your escort will advise you what time your cruise departs. Before or after your cruise, you are on your own to explore independently.
At the appointed time, hop aboard the canal boat to explore Amsterdam's canals and waterways. You will quickly gain a sense of the city's rich history. Amsterdam is not surprisingly often called the Venice of the North, and its canals have been used for centuries to transport goods throughout the city. Today, it is your turn to cruise the same canals purely for pleasure. Your adventure will take you along the three most important and famous canals of Amsterdam, past a number of charming landmarks viewable only from the canals.
You will have time to shop and explore on your own; then, return to the pier by coach.

This tour is available only to guests whose cruise does not begin or end in Rotterdam. Guide service, taxi transfers, entrance fees and lunch are not included in the transfer price. It will be your responsibility to be at the pick-up point at the given return time. An English-speaking escort will be aboard the transfer motorcoach to answer questions en route. Travel time to Amsterdam is approximately 1.5 hours each way. Traffic can be unpredictable. The driver will do his/her best to keep moving safely. Your patience is greatly appreciated. Delays occasionally extend tour duration.
