Next, venture into the historic and remote Hvalfjordur settlement and to the Hvammsvik Geothermal Baths. Nestled by the ocean, these natural hot springs offer a rejuvenating experience like no other. With access to eight hot springs ranging from ocean temperatures to 42°C, this is a great opportunity to relax and unwind in the healing waters. For the adventurous, take a dip in the ocean or enjoy the steam baths and outdoor showers to warm up after your soak.
Head to Höfuthstöthin to enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Icelandic lamb soup — often described as "Iceland in a bowl" — with fresh bread and a sweet treat. Explore the Chromo Sapiens exhibition/installation by Icelandic artist Shoplifter. Delving deep into the extravagant use of color, the installation encourages visitors to explore their inner landscape through stimulation of the senses.
