Discover some of the most beautiful towns in Kent.
Your first stop will be at the coastal town of Deal, recently rediscovered as a seaside gem that remains authentically reminiscent of a bygone era — a million miles from hectic modern life. It is closer to France, just over the channel, than it is to London.
From its importance as a medieval seaport in the 13th century to its reputation for dangerous smuggling activity in the 18th century, Deal is a place for walks along the beach, lazy long lunches, and browsing in friendly shops. Use your free time here to stroll along the beautifully maintained, old-fashioned seafront and into the historic conservation area of Middle Street — a pristine example of the character of Deal.
Rejoin your motorcoach to travel the short distance to Sandwich — a much smaller town with a population of only 4,500. Its medieval core is packed full of genteel charm and quaint streets. Take in the historic architecture or perhaps purchase a refreshment (at your own expense) at one of the many cafés or pubs during your free time here before returning to Dover.
Notes:
Guide service, taxi transfers, entrance fees and lunch are not included in the transfer price. It is your responsibility to be at the pick-up point at the given return time. An English-speaking escort will be aboard the transfer motorcoach to answer questions en route.
