Explore some of the loveliest scenery in Dorset -- a county with a long history of human settlement dating back to the Neolithic era.
Leaving the port, you'll drive past the wide Chesil Beach, one of the largest manmade beaches in the world and the only one made famous by author Ian MacEwan.
Cross the romantic county of Dorset and head to the seaside town of Weymouth to see its picturesque harbor. A change of scenery has you meandering through rolling green hills.
Idyllic Lulworth Cove, nestled along the UNESCO World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast, was once a smugglers' paradise. Nowadays, it's one of the most charming fishing villages in Dorset.
You will pass through the pretty town of Corfe. Stop near the hilltop ruins of Corfe Castle to view them from a distance before returning to Portland.
Notes: Tour consists mainly of sightseeing from the transportation. Stops are brief and participants can remain in the vehicle. Corfe Castle's ruins are undergoing essential restoration work; some parts of the site are surrounded by scaffolding.
