The Royal Palace was built in the early 19th century by King Charles III of Norway and is now home to the Norwegian Royal Family. You will admire the beautiful palace exterior and stroll/roll among its gardens.
Your tour continues to the shoreline of Oslofjord. On a brief stop here, see Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle built to protect Oslo in the 1290s. Learn about the history and use of the fortress and enjoy some wonderful photo opportunities. Watch for the beautiful Oslo City Hall, famous for holding the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
Heading out of town, you stop for photos at the Holmenskollen ski jump.
