Meet your guide and board a coach for the scenic panoramic drive along the famed Route des Châteaux. Row upon row of vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, as street signs casually mention the region's most legendary names -- Margaux, Latour, Lafite and Mouton Rothschild.
Upon arrival at one of the Médoc Peninsula's fairytale châteaux, learn about the grapes of this region and sample wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
Enter Bordeaux — a pleasant city of verdant parks, magnificent churches, sparkling waters and graceful bridges. A dazzling display of 18th-century neo-Classical architecture has earned it the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Skirt the 33-acre Place des Quinconces — the largest city square in Western Europe — and take in vibrant street scenes on your way to lunch at a local restaurant.
You'll then have free time to browse in the shops along the pedestrian-only Rue Sainte-Catherine.
Relax on the two-hour drive back to Le Verdon.
