This tour takes you to one of the islands of the Lofoten archipelago, which boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in Norway. All around you are some of the world's richest fishing waters.
Vestvågøy is the second-largest island in the group. Travel by coach through its small village of Leknes, which is the administrative center of the island with approximately 3,000 inhabitants.
In a country full of tiny, jewel-like fishing villages, Reine takes the cake for sheer beauty. Its gorgeous setting attracts many thousands of visitors each year. Enjoy some free time here.
In Borg, you will visit the Viking Museum. Archaeologists have discovered a chieftain's farmstead here, containing sensational finds of objects linking the Lofoten islands to the Mediterranean area as well as France, England and Germany. Lofoten was a center of power during the Viking period and the main house at Borg is the largest Viking building ever uncovered (272 feet long and 30 feet tall). An exact copy has been built next to the excavation ground and you will feel like you have been transported back to the year AD 900.
