Grimstad enchants with its white wooden houses, cobblestone streets, narrow streets and idyllic backyards. Take a short walk through the city of poets.
As you head along the coastal road, watch for the archipelagos of southern Norway.
In Arendal, take in the view over the city, the offshore islands and Galtesund Fjord.
Lillesand is perhaps the most beautiful town in the region. Many of the typical, white-painted houses here date from the 18th and 19th century. Leave on a high after climbing the world's tallest free-standing climbing tower, 154 feet (47m) tall.
