This compact adventure deep into the heart of Neolithic Orkney is studded with natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A panoramic overview brings you to the Ring of Brodgar and the Cliffs of Yesnaby and offers a glimpse of the Standing Stones of Stenness.
Cross the island to walk among the henge at the Ring of Brodgar -- an iconic site that represents Orkney's neolithic heritage. The monument's age is uncertain, but it is assumed that it dates to about 2700 BC.
Watch for the Standing Stones of Stenness -- the remnants of a vertical stone henge approximately 19 feet tall.
From a position towering above the rugged coastline of the Atlantic Ocean, you will view some of the islands' most breathtaking scenery. On a clear day, you may see the Old Man of Hoy sea stack and the Scottish mainland in the distance.
A panoramic drive around the Loch of Stenness brings you to the charming town of Stromness. Enjoy a little free time to wander the winding streets or browse the local shops.
