Departing the pier in Killybegs, you will travel north through sleepy towns to an area known as the Rosses, or Na Rosa in Gaelic, meaning the headlands. Villages are scattered along the rocky and barren coast, preserving aspects of traditional Irish life that have largely vanished elsewhere.
Dungloe is the capital (albeit a very small one) of the Rosses, and the annual Mary-from-Dungloe International Festival takes place here.
Onward to the village of Crolly -- home of the late internationally-acclaimed singer Enya and her siblings, who formed the traditional Irish group Clannad. Stop here to enjoy an Irish coffee.
Afterward, reboard your motorcoach for the return journey to Killybegs. Sit back and relax to enjoy the wonderful scenery and take advantage of some photo stops along the way.
